How hard is it to test games?

If you can play games, and answer questions about your experience playing them then you could be getting paid for doing what you love!

Wonder what type of questions you might be asked? Here are some examples of the type of questions you’ll probably be asked after play testing a game:

  • What was your favorite level in the single player game?
  • How would you rate the game in general on a scale of 1 – 10?
  • How would you rate the graphics on a scale of 1 – 10?
  • Were there any noticeable bugs?

In addition to answering specific questions like these, you’ll probably be asked to test specific features. For example, you might be asked to test every single weapon in the game and make sure that the explosions all look correct for each weapon. Or you might be asked to explore every part of a level, and ensure that the graphics don’t “break up” anywhere, and that it’s not possible to get stuck.

Basically, you play the game – and you report back to the development team… it’s that simple!
